In 2023, our golf tournament was a huge success and ACEC El Paso donated $10,000 fully funding our UTEP Endowment Engineering scholarships proceeds were from our sixth annual golf tournament at Painted Dunes Golf Club on Friday, October 06, 2023, and would like you to join us for a day of great fellowship to support a great cause! Who is ACEC-El Paso, you might ask?
ACEC is the American Council of Engineering Companies. ACEC’s primary mission is to strengthen the business environment through government advocacy, political action and business education.
We also work hard to help educate our local Engineering community and assist in local STEAM programs and activities. ACEC-El Paso members work with numerous Public Agencies (The largest being the City of El Paso, El Paso Water, TxDOT, UTEP, and the ISDs) to help define infrastructure public policy and provide a forum for the interchange of ideas, applying technical expertise to agency processes, regulation, criteria, guidelines and upholding qualifications-based standards.
Please join us to support our local STEAM/TERF Texas Education Research Forum (501c3) organization and help Lift the STEAM Ship as we seed and develop more local engineers, scientists, and technicians. We are still considering ideas for the best ways to impact STEAM/TERF in El Paso. Your suggestions are welcome! I look forward to seeing you on the greens – at Painted Dunes Golf Club!
